Community Wellness Partners Welcomes New President & CEO


Community Wellness Partners (CWP) – the affiliation of LutheranCare® and Presbyterian Homes & Services – has named Jeremy Rutter, an executive level healthcare professional with 20 years of progressive experience, as its new President & CEO.  In this role, Jeremy has the responsibility for the total administration and operation of both organizations which comprise a network of multi-faceted healthcare communities serving residents and program participants for more than 150 years.

Jeremy takes the CWP helm from retiring CEO, Michael Sweeney on Monday, October 25 after serving seven years with Heritage Ministries, a faith-based not-for-profit healthcare organization focusing on senior care. In that period of time, he advanced his scope of responsibilities from Nursing Home Administrator in Jamestown, NY to his current role as the Chief Clinical Officer/Vice President of Skilled Nursing Operations in Woodstock, IL.  A veteran of the United States Coast Guard, Jeremy received his Bachelor of Science in Health Service Management from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome, a Master of Public Administration degree from Villanova University and is currently enrolled in a PhD program in Gerontology from Concordia University in Chicago.

Jeremy is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in New York State and holds both the American College of Health Care Administrators’ national certification, as well as the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Board’s Health Service Executive certification.  His professional affiliations have included numerous Board and Cabinet positions including those with LeadingAge Illinois, LeadingAge New York and the Foundation for Long Term Care.

Combining over 150 years of service to our region, Community Wellness Partners is an affiliation of LutheranCare® and Presbyterian Homes & Services. Our faith-based, non-profit organizations offer the most complete continuity of health and wellness services for older adults in Oneida County including Home Care, Supportive Housing, Independent & Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and more.
