Rock Steady Boxing
Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact, boxing-based fitness curriculum that aims to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s disease through a non-contact, boxing-based fitness curriculum.
Studies have shown that rigorous exercise, emphasizing gross motor movement, balance, core strength, and rhythm, favorably impacts range of motion, flexibility, posture, gait, and activities of daily living.
Additional studies show that intense “forced” exercise, suggesting that certain kinds of exercise, may be neuro-protective as well as slow disease progression.
Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT)
LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG are effective, evidence-based and empowering treatments for people in all stages of Parkinson’s disease with application to other neurological conditions.
