Insight Through Education
The Parkinson’s Speaker Series provides valuable education and insight into Parkinson’s disease, offering expert-led discussions on treatment advancements, care strategies, and resources for individuals, families, and caregivers.
Created by the Abraham family in honor of William & Rita Abraham, this free series is held annually and features four guest speakers throughout the year. Each session provides attendees with the latest information and support to improve the lives of those impacted by Parkinson’s.
Moments That Moved Our Mission Forward
Community members gathered for an inspiring evening focused on the future of Parkinson’s treatment, featuring Dr. Satish Krishnamurthy, Professor of Neurosurgery and Biology at SUNY Polytechnic and neurosurgeon at CNY Brain and Spine Neurosurgery in New Hartford, NY.
Dr. Krishnamurthy, nationally recognized for his groundbreaking work in neurosurgery, has served as Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University, trained many of today’s leading neurosurgeons, and continues to shape the field through his clinical expertise and research.
Together with Dr. Nicholas Qandah, he is helping bring advanced precision technology and minimally invasive techniques to our region—delivering exceptional brain and spine care to underserved communities and positioning the Mohawk Valley as a hub for neurosurgical innovation.
The evening included a speaking program from 5:30–6:30 PM, followed by a light hors d’oeuvres reception.
